Destination Ipswich, July 2nd

It's Independence Day Weekend! We're riding to Ipswich on Saturday and will give our "dual start" option another go. The weather is going to be perfect! Salem riders will depart the bus stop at 7:00 a.m. -- Our later option will meet at 7:30 a.m. in North Beverly.

Where in North Beverly? Well, let's say on the other side of the train tracks near the T station at Dodge and Enon Streets. (Not far from The Depot Diner). Find a place to park -- there may be on-street parking down Dodge Street or any side street, or any of the shopping areas on Enon St (see map). Meet us on Dodge Street across the train tracks near the corner of Dodge and Laurel Streets. Sound good?

We will meet on the corner of Dodge and Laurel, across the train tracks
The Depot Diner is marked on the map for reference.

Ipswich Mileage (from Map My Ride)
I've estimated the mileage to Ipswich using two of our regular routes to Ipswich -- the actual route can be determined on Saturday, but the mileage only varies by a mile and a half.

From Salem to Ipswich:
via our typical backroads: (From Dodge to Larch Row take right on Larch Row/Essex to Sagamore, Candlewood, Heartbreak and Argilla to downtown Ipswich): 15.3 miles (30.6 miles RT)

via Route 1A: From Larch Row, continue straight onto Walnut Road as if going to Henderson's. Take a right on 1A to Ipswich: 14.4 miles (29 miles RT)

From North Beverly to Ipswich:
via our typical backroads: (From Dodge  to Larch Row take right on Larch Row/Essex to Sagamore, Candlewood, Heartbreak and Argilla to downtown Ipswich: 10 miles (20 miles RT)

via Route 1A: From Larch Row, continue straight onto Walnut Road as if going to Henderson's. Right on 1A to Ipswich: 9 miles (18 miles RT)

Breakfast at Five Corner's Cafe or Sofia's.

Note: Riders can choose to return home via 1A or the backroads Argilla/Candlewood/Sagamore as they came (for an out and back), or Mill Road, which does not alter the mileage significantly. From Ipswich to North Beverly & Salem via Mill Road: 10 miles to North Beverly area, 15 miles to the Roger Conant statue.

I hope this helps you plan your ride. (Email, text, or call if you have any questions.) See you Saturday!
