Breakfast at the Depot Diner, Road Work Adventures

Morning sun over the Salem-Beverly Bridge.
We had a cool start to the morning -- although it wasn't too cold to ride! Joan, Chip and Tam met at the bus stop, wondering if anyone else would be joining us. We headed off to The Depot Diner for breakfast, where we came upon road construction on Route 1A, making the trip rather sketchy. Despite following a detour, we ended up riding much of the dug up road, carefully.

We arrived at the Depot Diner just in time to be seated at the last available open booth, (before the breakfast crowd descended), enjoying a lovely breakfast together before the return ride home.  Such a beautiful day for a ride!

Joan and Chip near the end of the ride.
