Hamilton/Wenham (Route Repeats)

Today's Cyclopath ride headed out at daybreak, under dark skies and cold air -- a chilly 34 degrees (according to the bank thermometer in Beverly). Paul and Joan, who haven't missed an October ride yet, led the way, as Tam joined them for the ride to Beverly and breakfast at the Depot Diner. The trio opted for the same route and breakfast destination of these last few weeks, repeating the ride Donna and Gail were on the previous weekend. (Sorry no ride report there.) The coffee tasted even better at the Depot Diner today, as we warmed up before continuing on through Wenham.

The leaves are just past peak, but still hanging on to the trees, as fall is starting to wind down. The back roads through Wenham, Hamilton and Beverly are beautiful at this time of year, and lucky for us, the temps started to warm up as we made our way back to Salem, (against the wind). It was a cold one!

Oh my....... Who ( a.k.a. What unassuming Depot Diner customer) took the pic??? Glad you got out to ride and enjoyed the foliage and Fall chill.

The pic cost us $1.00 Hahaha...

Actually, not really. There was a young kid out front collecting $ for Beverly Youth hockey. I asked him to take the pic and Paul and I each gave him $1. CUTE young kid.

Very cold ride.

P.S. It was so warm in Spin class this morning we opened the door a crack for fresh air.

Spin class is great when too cold/icy to ride. I know the majority of my rides will be indoors soon.Trying to get out as much as I can, though, before the snow falls. I know it's not for everyone. :) DC, I will see you on the bike in the Spring!
