Farewell to Summer, Breakfast at the Wenham Teahouse

Ride report by Drew, photo by Arlene. (Thanks, Ladies!)

Just a beautiful day for a ride -- the sun in your face, wind in your hair kind of day, with fun conversations at each of our stops along the way, (Salem, Dry cleaners, Larch Row). Our breakfast destination: Wenham Tea House via the back roads of Beverly & Hamilton.

Joan, Paul, Gail, Arlene, Paul (P. Giddy ), Sheldon, Margie, and Drew followed the "Ipswich route", which, at Larch Row, turned into the "left route" as most of our turns were a left! :) We headed down Larch Row and took a left onto Miles River Road, (a fun rolling road), then left onto Bridge St to a left onto 1A heading back towards Wenham.

(Margie, Joan & Paul took the direct route staying on 1A to the Tea House, while Arlene, Gail, P. Giddy, Sheldon & Drew headed down Asbury Rd to a left on to Arbor St to the Tea House.)

Drew left the group at the Tea House and continued home while Arlene reports that the rest of them enjoyed the free muffins and the beautiful flowers at the restaurant.

Drew continues: Close to Beverly airport, I needed a bathroom break, so headed to the restaurant at the airport and found there were WWII planes on display this weekend. It was really neat to see a B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator and P-51 Mustang. (Being a WWII buff that I am). After my mini break, I headed back to Salem. It was a great ride and so nice to see everyone that was able to join the ride and look forward to next Saturday! --Drew
