Manchester on a Hot Day

Posting this ride report a little late... We had a terrific ride on Saturday despite the temperatures already hitting 80 degrees at the 6:30 a.m. start. (Did it even cool down overnight?) Heading out to ride the coastal route, where we caught a nice breeze, were Paul G., Sheldon, Gail, Ethan, Tam, Will, Joan and Paul P., and (surprise!) Av!! (awww... so good to have Av riding again!) We took a leisurely pace up the back roads toward Manchester, picking up The Queen, Ducky and Tim along the way, but losing Ethan, as he needed to take off for a wedding. It was hot, hot, hot, but not too bad --- especially along some of the the shady roads.

After arriving in Manchester at the Beach Street Cafe, we realized Tim was missing! Ducky rode off to find him, discovering he had a flat in Beverly Farms and was left behind! (How did that happen??) Sorry, Tim!

After breakfast, the return trip to Salem was a little slower -- a bit hotter, but not too bad. We had a terrific day despite the heat, and hope Tim and Ducky were able to salvage a nice ride after everything was settled with the bike.
