Point to Point Weekend in Vermont, 8/10

All are invited to join Team North Shore Cyclopaths in the Harpoon Brewery's Point to Point Ride in Windsor Vermont, August 10th. (The weekend after the PMC!) It is a challenging 25 mile ride through the foothills of Mt. Ascutney, including a 3 mile climb from Brownsville to Hartland 4 Corners. (Challenging, but not impossible!) A post ride party at the Harpoon Brewery completes the celebration. Registration fee is $54.50 (incl. processing fee) with a $50 fundraising minimum and benefits the Vermont Food Bank. Several Cyclopaths have mentioned interest in riding!

All are welcome to stay the weekend at Tam's family cottage in Ascutney. It is a rustic 115 year old lodge -- think "camping" with a roof. Very rustic. (Or just come up and spend the day in Vermont. It's a 2.5 hour drive from Marblehead.) We'll relax on the porch before and after the ride, grill some food, and have a nice Cyclopath getaway. No need to RSVP just yet... but think about joining us.

I've set up a team -- North Shore Cyclopaths -- which I believe you designate after registering as an individual. I'm not familiar with their registration process. The url for the team is

My cousin Rich and I have ridden the Point to Point together -- my other cousin, Pete, may be joining us this year. (He is riding my Allez these days.) Anyone else up for the challenge? :)

I chose the 25 mile because of the lower fundraising commitment... since so many of us are doing other charity events this year. Anyone is welcome to ride the 50 or 115. It's your call.

Anne has registered, and Susan and Andrea are interested, too. I'll check with Pete this week, but I'm pretty sure he's riding. Come join our team!
