Last Saturday in October

We had a very chilly start to our Cyclopath ride today, with nine riders heading out into the 44 degree cold. With the sun barely up, Sheldon, Donna, Tam, Ducky, Lucy, Gail, new rider Susan, (welcome!), and world travelers Joan and Paul, (back from their Silk Road adventures!), headed out to Larch Row and the Wenham Tea House, (which surprisingly is still a "new" place for the Cyclopaths, as the majority of today's riders hadn't yet been there!) The service was friendly, the food delicious, and despite the high elegance, the folks there really were welcoming to us all. As we left breakfast, we were invited to "Come again soon."

The temperature warmed slightly while we were having breakfast, but it was still very chilly as we made our way home towards Salem. Our shady back roads, usually a relief during the summer, were quite cold! It's not often that we're riding together as a group this late in the season. Perhaps we'll have a nice Indian summer weekend in November before winter officially arrives?
