Saturday Ride Report?

With rain and thunderstorms in the morning forecast, but neither at 6:30 am, did anyone ride today?

Hoping Lynda was able to avoid wet weather in the western part of the state for today's much-anticipated D2R2 (Deerfield Dirt Road Randonnee) ride!

Hey all!

The rain had moved in overnight (SO fun camping in a thunderstorm!)and was moved out by 7am.

I had managed to endure 70 of the 112 grueling miles and I'm glad that I cut it short - I wouldn't have made the cutoff time if I tried to push on! My training has been off all year, too much elevation for me to handle! We'll try the 180k next year.

There are shorter, 40 mile routes that have much less climbing that maybe some of you might want to try out! The area is so gorgeous, I know you'd have a great time. Check out to learn more about the great work that is being done to preserve green spaces in Franklin County. The areas that you will ride in will never be developed, thanks to Franklin Land Trust. So pretty!

I hope that some of you got out to ride. I hope to make it up to Salem to ride with you all next Sat, weather pending!
