LIVESTRONG Day, October 2nd -- Wear Yellow and Show your Support!

Sunday, October 2, 2011, has been designated LIVESTRONG Day -- The Lance Armstrong Foundation's global one day initiative to raise cancer awareness. Lynda asks that everyone WEAR YELLOW tomorrow in honor of anyone affected by cancer.

Spread the word on this event and let's show the world we stand together in the fight against cancer.

Thanks, Lynda. I own a single yellow t-shirt and will wear it tomorrow. :-) Good thing the boys aren't playing against team that wears yellow tomorrow!

I tried to set the type in yellow, (like I did for Alzheimer's Action Day), but it was too difficult to read. Made the pic at the LiveStrong site though. Cool.

October also brings Breast Cancer Awareness month. Expect some pink posts here and there. I love color!

Thanks Tam. As you have read on Facebook, I have a cycling friend that was just recently diagnosed with two early-stage invasive breast cancers, has had a double-mastectomy, and is on her third dose of chemo. It is with her in the forefront that I wear yellow, and for everyone else who has fought the courageous fight.

Wear your yellow with part pride and part kick-butt attitude.

Rica's blog, for anyone interested in keeping up with her video journal, can be found at:

It was fifteen years ago today that Lance Armstrong was diagnosed with testicular cancer.

Lynda,

I don't get on FB as much these days, and tend to miss things, so if there is anything you want me to put on the blog, just holler. Sending Rica my best wishes.
