Ipswich/Stone Soup

We had a fantastic ride today! Making the trek out of Salem towards Ipswich were Gail, Lisa, Drew, Lucy, Donna, Sheldon, Ducky, Monsignor Michael, Mojito Dave, Ethan, Paul, The Queen, Margie, Jack, and Tam. Somehow, the group split soon out of Beverly, with one group headed towards Route 133, another group looping back down Larch Row to pick up the turn towards 1A, and Tam and Sheldon (who turned on Miles River, thinking the others did the same), merrily biking down Route 1A. (Smiley face!)

The various groups made it to breakfast at Stone Soup, minus a few folks who headed back early. (Ethan, Mojito, Michael and Ducky.) After breakfast, Lisa and Drew took a different route back, while the remaining riders stuck together and returned to Salem in our typically Cyclopathic way -- Jack missed a turn... Sheldon and Lucy missed a turn... Kathy left to catch them and the 3 took a different route back... Paul took a detour in Salem... Gosh, we were dropping Cyclopaths all over the place! Still, seven of the original 15 managed to regroup at the Roger Conant statue in Salem in traditional fashion, with many laughs shared. An adventurous ride. See you all on Thursday!

One of the funniest saying of the day comes from a car full of HS kids in Ipswich - one yells out "Yo" ( I turn and think I'll hear Go PMC) but its "your bike stinks". Happy peddling, drew
