Stone Soup/Mad Martha's

We had a gorgeous day for the Cyclopath's semi-traditional post-PMC jaunt to Plum Island, (with a Stone Soup option). 13 riders left the Salem start, taking a beautiful back roads route to Ipswich. Cyclopaths enjoying the ride yesterday included Av, (who detoured off to Judy's), Paul G., Joan, Sheldon, Gail, Jack, Steve-Bob, Lynda, Donna, Margie, Arlene, Lisa and Drew. Quite a crew! Upon arriving at Stone Soup, the pack split, with half staying in Ipswich while the others continued on to Plum Island. (Ed joined the group at Mad Martha's, Tam and Chip joined the crowd at Stone Soup.) Anyone have any details to share from the ride?

Tam,
I have a few more pics. One at the dry cleaners and a few from our chicken & flower adventure on the ride home. We visited Long Hill in Beverly. There was a nice chicken coop and the owner was there to chat with us. There was also pic your own flowers which we admired. We took a nice pic with the sunflowers.
I hope the Mad Martha's riders had a nice ride. I saw Jack riding back thru Vinnin Square at 2:45 pm.

Linda, Lisa, Arlene, Jack, Paul & Steve-Bob were met by Ed in Newburyport & enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Mad Martha's. Thanks to Steve-Bob for leading us on a wonderful ride back to Salem through the beautiful back roads of Newbury, Rowley, Georgetown, Topsfield, Ipswich & Beverly.

link to gps map of the Plum Island ride, which had a marvelous quiet-roads trek back, avoiding much of route 1A and Ipswich Ctr, can be found here:
