Margie, Joan, Arlene, and Gail's Excellent Adventure

Our day was full of surprises, beginning with Barbara and Bill Cantor calling out from their four-wheeled vehicle as we rode over the Salem-Beverly bridge. We proceeded to meet at Henderson's in Hamilton, where we enjoyed great breakfast and even better company -- We had some good laughs recalling Cyclopath stories from the past.

After bidding farewell to the Cantors, our gang of four decided to do the Bradley Palmer loop on the way home. And thanks to Margie's inquisitiveness, we took two detours to see places we usually ride by: the Willowdale Estate (Bradley Palmer's former home, now a beautiful function facility) and Asbury Grove (a Methodist camp meeting ground, with summer and year-round cottages and community buildings -- including a coffee shop that serves breakfast from 8:00 to 10:30 am on Saturdays until Labor Day). Anyone looking for a new breakfast venue?

It was a truly fun ride. Now that we're entering post-PMC season, maybe we'll try some new detours more often. Thanks, Margie, for leading the way! --Gail
