Ride with the Champions

On August 29th there is a Ride with the Champions to support the Special Olympics of Massachusetts. Routes of 12, 22 and 62 miles leave and return to the Topsfield Fair Grounds.

As a registered rider, I can add "friends" for a mere $100. Now here is the icing on the cake -- Seyfarth Shaw has pledged up to $2,000 to the event in honor of Eunice Kennedy Shriver. All we need are 20 folks to join us. (Think of it as you being paid $100 to ride your bike.)

I will bring applications to the ride this Saturday. --Carl

For those that did not ride today: We plan to leave at our regular 6:30 am start time from Salem, go to breakfast, and then make our way to Topsfield Fairgrounds and do the 22 mile loop. All to support Special Olympics.

I will be up in that area, on a New England Randonneur event that day.

It sounds like the Ride with the Champions will make for a nice day! Maybe I'll see you all if we cross paths with the route.

I missed todays ride (I did the NSC Blazing Saddles Century instead). Is it too late to sign up for this? Can somebody (Carl?) send me the application?
