Girl's Club

The ladies outnumbered the men 3-1 on Saturday's ride to Ipswich and Stone Soup. It was amazing to have Arlene(!) back with the group and riding strong -- Arlene (currently undergoing radiation treatment), put most of us to shame as she flew up the hills and was one of the first riders to reach Stone Soup for breakfast! Nothing slows her down.

With fourteen riders -- and only five men -- riding on Saturday, the ride became a girl's club. Oddly enough, none of the guys finished in Salem with the group! Carl remained in Hamilton with Sue R. for breakfast at Henderson's. Paul Guertin turned back in Ipswich with Ducky. (Ethan also turned back in Ipswich, prior to their decision.) We lost Ed sometime after breakfast, and Paul P. stayed behind in Wenham as he helped Joan with a flat tire.

Gail led the way down familiar but forgotten backroads as we ventured home. Finishing in Salem together were Gail, Lynda, Donna, Queen Kathy, Arlene and Tam. A fun day.

Ed -- What happened to you?? I thought you were ahead of us but now wondering is we missed you at a turn??

Paul and Joan hopefully got back o.k. -- We waited for them for a while.

Fun ride. Donna -- Congrats on making that light. You rock.

I'm in Vermont until late Thursday -- no electricity, therefore no computer or blog updates.

Don't forget my email has changed --

have a great week and I will see you all on the 4th!! Where are we going??

Hi, I just want to tell everybody how good it was to ride with all of you. You were so welcoming & it felt great to be back on the bike doing what I do on Saturday mornings.
