Another Cyclopath Down

Tam is recovering from a foot injury -- X-rays have confirmed she has a broken toe. (Happily, not a broken foot.) The doctor informs her it will take 6 weeks for the bone to heal, but the pain, bruising and swelling may subside in a week or 2 -- enough to allow her to squeeze her foot into a cycling shoe. ;-)

OH NO!
Feel better, Tammy. You better rest that toe. There's plenty of summer left to train.
Hey, check out the Salem News today. There's a picture of Sheldon at last night's North Shore Community College graduation. Go to the Salem News' Web site Feel better!!!!

Thanks, everyone. Donna had a great idea to cut up an old cycling shoe to fit my swollen foot!! Genius!!

So, I did that, but now need to move the cleats from the old shoe to the new one and I can't find the right tool! (Of course I discovered this after I cut up the shoe.) Mike also thinks I'll need to use duct tape or something to keep my foot from sliding too much. Not sure it's worth all of this hassle.

Will keep searching for the allen wrenches tonight and re-evaluate in the morning.

If I don't see you, have a great ride!!

You should have just bought some Keen cycling sandals and a second pair of cleats.

Then you could have cruised to the beach any time you wanted.

Get well fast.

Bruce

We all missed you on Saturday! How are you feeling?

Missed you on Saturday. Feeling better this weekend -- the bruise is getting smaller each day and the swelling has gone down too. I'm getting around much better. I can't put pressure on the front of my foot, but other than that, all is good. Bruce, those cycling sandals look cool. I think I have an excellent excuse for buying them. :-)

Tammy

Here I sit, ready to ride, 5:35 AM and it's still raining, so I went to the Blog and find this!

Which Little Piggy is it? Mine was the biggy; dropped a log on it. Took 4 weeks to heal (the black nail a bit longer).

Hope you're well on your way back.
