Ciclismo Classico's 12th Annual Jingle Ride!

Lynda alerts us to this upcoming December ride in the hub: The 12th Annual Jingle Ride benefiting Cycle Kids on Sunday, December 12th! The Jingle Ride is a leisurely and festive 10-to-25 mile round-trip bike ride from Arlington Center to Boston, including the Charles River Bike Path, Newbury street, and lunch at Quincy Market.

Bring your best singing voice, costume, jingle bells and bike decorations! Lynda sent out an email with complete details, or drop her an email at lorider159@comcast.net for more info. Looks like fun!

I'm totally up for this, even though I hate cold-weather riding. It sounds like fun! It would be great to get a gang together. Anyone else on board?

There's even a stop for hot toddies! C'mon, you can't pass up hot toddies..

Hmmm.... I think no one is reading the blog these days. I haven't had much to write about. No riding, no reading...

Bruce, if you're out there, I just got your voice message from 2 weeks ago. My cell phone was lost for a few weeks. I just discovered it in a ski jacket, which I wore when the temps dropped down to the 20s, (and then tossed aside when it got warmer.) I just found the cell phone in the pocket today and got your message. Hope you had a nice holiday!!

So is anyone riding the Jingle Ride?

I am waiting for a weather forecast before I commit. : ) It does look like fun.

Sure, sure, you expect me to believe that stuff? 8^)

I might have to jump in on this one just to break the 6000 mile mark for 2008.

I'm going to follow Donna's lead and see what the weather report looks like as we get closer.

;-) REALLY! I couldn't find my cell phone! Ask anyone!

Let's see how the weather is next weekend for a ride. Gotta admit, I had to google "Toddie". I knew it was a drink of some kind, but having never actually HAD one, I wasn't sure what it was... ;-)

I'm sure that the drink wont have the usual alcohol in it, so you can count on basically a hot cider!

I'm ready for anything next Sunday. In the event of bad weather: if it is just sprinkles (or flurries!!), I'll use the mountain bike. Otherwise, it's single-speed all the way.

I sure hope to see you folks there! I've got my Santa hat all set to go!!

OK!! It is supposed to be sunny and in the 40's. How's that work for everyone?

I have to go and find my jingle bells!

I have so much to do and so little time... my weeks have been crazy these days. Hoping to come up for air soon. Will make the breakfast today (a little arm twisting by Donna, who eagerly convinced me to workout at the Y this morning afterwards -- which I was planning to do at some point this weekend and HAPPY to have a buddy figure out those new bikes with me.) I'm afraid if I give away my time this morning, I'm probably NOT going to jingle ride. I just can't squeeze everything in. My holidays were supposed to be STRESS FREE, and I've over committed myself, adding to my chaos.

Tonight's news on Fox 25 will have a little short on the Jingle Ride! Tune in!
