The Omelette Headquarters

Here is a link to Gail's new discovery: Omelette Headquarters in Beverly. We are planing a 1/100th of a Century Winter ride. Yes, Gail discovered a restaurant even closer than the Beverly Airport for a winter ride! And the write up sounds promising... Check it out here! The Omlette Headquarters

Mmmmmm Sounds good!! An easier DRIVE in the winter for a rainy-day, off-bike breakfast. ;-) Can't wait to check it out!

I think it's getting too chilly for me -- But, if the weather is nice next weekend, I'll try and join you all -- my next class isn't until the 25th. You know, it's much warmer at 8 am than 7 am. Has anyone considered a later start when the morning temps start in the 30s? Yes -- I'm a wimp. ;-)

PS -- Saw Ethan riding on Saturday around 8:30 in Marblehead.

folks, winter riding isn't all that bad, as long as the roads aren't icy or snow-covered. Layer like you would for skiing and you will be ok. Cover those extremities with winter gloves, wool socks and booties, and a balaclava for your face. Keeping heat in, sweat out and the wind out is the name of the game, so a wicking base layer and secondary layer, plus a nice lined cycling jacket with a wind-stopper shell works wonders. Same with the tights: wind-stopper thermal tights will work wonders.
