Watching Hanna

It looks like rain from Tropical Storm Hanna may be heading this way late on Saturday. It's too early to tell whether the roads will be dry on Saturday morning, but if they are... remember... we meet at 7:00 am! (Note: The Flattest Century in the East hits the roads, rain or shine, on Sunday! For those still planning to ride, stay safe!)

Hannah is supposed to be cleared out by the time that the TFCE rolls around. Saturday does sound a bit messy, so I'm planning on sleeping in. I haven't slept late in soooo long!

From the Ntl. Weather Service: "A first round of rain is expected to hit Massachusetts well ahead of Hanna late tonight into early Saturday. A second round is expected Saturday afternoon through early Sunday morning as the storm sweeps by."

Looks like a wet morning. I will probably sleep in as well!

Have a great ride on Sunday!

Tam,

I thought that I'd read in the May '08 archive that you had signed up for TFCE metric? But from your last post, I guess I was wrong. :o(

There's always the GSW Seacoast Century, too, if you were interested.

You are not wrong! YES, I signed up for the metric -- but with my lack of miles this year, decided not to ride. Mike is a season-ticket holder for the Patriots, and they have their first game tomorrow. They tailgate early -- starting at breakfast. Will, our oldest, plays youth football (Go Big Blue!) and has his first game tomorrow in Salem. With Mike at the Pats game, I REALLY need to go to Will's game -- so even if I WERE ready for a metric century, I still wouldn't be able to go. Will would be crushed if we BOTH missed his first game.

Have a great ride though. Looks like the weather will be on your side.
