Cape Cod Getaway Ride Report

Anne and I had a great--if challenging--time on our MS ride this past weekend. We thought we'd be dealing with rain and thunderstorms during the ride and instead the sun, heat and humidity turned out to be a bigger problem. Saturday started out cool and misty--keeping glasses free of fog was a challenge--but the day ended with clear and sunny skies & we had a beautiful ride into Bourne.

Sleeping at Mass Maritime is not a lot of fun--very hot and sticky--and after barely sleeping we were ready for the 4:00 am wakeup call. Sunday was a little more difficult--tired legs, lots of hills. We were both happy to see the finish line in Provincetown.

The MS people did a great job running the ride this year--much better than in past years--plenty of food, volunteers, masseuses. All in all, we had a wonderful time riding for a great cause. --Arlene

Congratulations Anne and Arlene!!! What an accomplishment. It sure can be tough getting back on the bike Sunday after a long ride on Saturday. All of your training paid off. Now you can relax... enjoy breakfast... ;-) Awesome job.
