Saturday, November 18, 2006.

After a very rainy week, the skies cleared, the streets dried out, the sun appeared, and with a morning temp of 43 degrees, 11 Cyclopaths bundled up and rode to Boxford. Ducky and "Movie Star" Mike (the rider formerly known as Councilor Mike Bencal) headed to breakfast at the Beverly Airport, (then there were 9.) We were joined by Paul Guertin's friend Steve, who led us on some beautiful backroads through Boxford, where we had breakfast at Wayne's. Drew, on the mend with a foot injury, met us for breakfast. It was nice to see her!

After breakfast, we headed back through Bradley Palmer State Park. Along the way, Paul Price went MIA. (Then there were 8.) We hope he returned safely. He had a cell phone on him, but none of us had his number?! We pedaled back to Salem for a round trip of 32 miles. A traditional nondenominational prayer was said at the Roger Conant statue and well wishes for a Happy & Healthy Thanksgiving were given to all.

Heading back to the parking lot, Cape Cod Mike (yes, he did drive up from the Cape to ride AGAIN), Gail, and I heard someone yelling "Left!!!" as we took a 'right'. Sure enough, in bright yellow pants, Sam appeared. It was a great ride. Av pedaled his longest distance of the season. It was a Beautiful Day! --Donna
