Manchester-Gloucester and More

Eighteen Cyclopaths gathered on Saturday for a morning ride under gray skies--including Bill Indresano back in the fold, (Nice to see him back!), and new rider Margie. With head winds of Hurricane Ernesto fighting us along the way, we travelled up to Manchester for a great breakfast at The Beach Street Cafe. (Five riders continued on to Gloucester.) It was a fun morning, with great company and good food. Following breakfast, and a quick stop at Singing Beach, the gang headed home. With the wind now at our back, we made good time, with the 13 of us finishing together in Salem. (Always nice.)

Sending Sam our best wishes and hope he joins us on the bike again soon. We miss you Sam!!

Good Luck to Cape Cod Mike (In photo above with Lynda and Paul) running in his first 5K tomorrow in New Hampshire (with our tri-athletes Ellen and Donna). Mike has been training for this event all summer.

Boston's Race for the Cure is next Sunday, September 10th. Donna would like to create a team of walkers/runners for this event in memory of Sue. You can register online for $20, (or $30 day of the event.) Visit Race for the Cure: Team Sue to register. No fundraising required, the money listed is the registration fee.

Also on that date: Drew's Annual Polo Tailgate party! (Details below.) RSVP to Drew if you plan to attend. (Race for the Cure is in the morning, the polo tailgate is in the afternoon.)

And last...We're still surprised that Mojito Dave didn't see the rest of us on the plane with him flying back from San Francisco. Dave, we were right behind you!! --Tam

LOL Tammy!
Ed even brought his bike! : )

Funnies from Saturday's ride: Breakfast talk included talk of missing Sam. I explained he has/had kidney stones. Then Cape Cod Mike said, Oh Yeah. I met Sam. The last time I saw him was at Stone Soup!
After breakfast Ellen and I followed the crowd to Singing Beach. Pedaling up the small hill to the beach Ellen exclaimed- I'm Toast. Her legs were tired due to a 16 mile run. To which "Dr. Donna" explained-- You are what you eat. You are toast. : )
